Performance Management & Appraisal

The Performance Appraisal is an evaluation of an employee's job performance against previously established benchmarks in areas such as output, leadership, teamwork, versatility, supervision, and so on.

Performance appraisals are often conducted once a year to assess an individual's level of achievement and are implemented on a top-down basis, with supervisors having a large role to play in appraising an employee's performance without the employee's active participation.
